{"id":151,"date":"2025-07-08T18:15:20","date_gmt":"2025-07-08T18:15:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forest2flavor.com\/?page_id=151"},"modified":"2025-07-08T18:33:56","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T18:33:56","slug":"sauteed-mushrooms","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/forest2flavor.com\/?page_id=151","title":{"rendered":"Sauteed Mushrooms"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Shiitakes, Oysters or Lion\u2019s Mane can be prepared in this way. <br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A half pound shiitake, oysters, or lion\u2019s mane mushrooms, sliced or whole<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 tablespoons unsalted butter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 tablespoon olive oil<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Optional splash of white wine*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 large cloves garlic, minced or pressed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salt and pepper to taste<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Start by cleaning the mushrooms. Take a wet paper towel and gently wipe off any dirt from the mushrooms. Refrain from rinsing the mushrooms because they absorb water easily and when cooked they will turn out too chewy. Slice as desired or tear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the butter and olive oil. Once hot, add in the mushrooms. Let them sit on medium heat and do not touch them for about 3 minutes. This will create some nice caramelization around the edges of the mushrooms. Stir and cook for 2 more minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour in the wine, if using, and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Stir in the garlic and parsley and cook for 1 additional minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve and ENJOY!
